Resolved Upgrading to FontAwesome 4.0

What's the best way to upgrade to FontAwesome 4.0? I have tried to place this in head.php
<link href="//http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.0.0/css/font-awesome.css" rel="stylesheet">
, and replaced icon- with fa fa- in the class names. But now no icons shows in the menu.

Hi Dani.

The current T3 version has not fully support Font Awesome 4.0

You can download the package on http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/ and replace extract to folder \templates\[your-template]\fonts\font-awesome

Then you need to recompile LESS to CSS and change icon- with fa fa- in the class names as you did before

I have dowloaded FA401,and replaced the folder in fonts folder. Then I set f.ex. icon=fa-star and extra class=fa. but no icons appears in the menu.

Are there anything else I have to do? I also tried to change 


    [class^="icon-"],

    [class^=" icon-"] {

to fa- in navigation.less

I see there are other css files too (like bootstrap.css) with icon- in, should I replace all icon- with fa- (or fa fa-) ?

If this is a very big and cumbersome process, I'll just wait til the next version of T3 which will probably/hopefully have the latest FA.

Hi guy,

The latest version of T3 (version 2.3.2) supports Font Awesome 4.1, you can upgrade and it's ready to use.

P/S: font awesome 4 is only supported for T3 BS3 Blank template and templates that integrate Bootstrap 3. It's not supported for T3 blank template.

I replace the file link in assets.xml with the cdn from font awesome
