I have removed the normal menu entries inside mega menu (just hit minus on normal entries) and have certain modules with images act as a menu. Works like intened.

Problem is, everytime I change something in the menu like add a menu item or simply just saving an existing menu item (doesnt matter if edited or plain saving without changes), mega menu keeps throwing in those normal menu items above my modules.
This is pretty annoying and i have to fix that manual every time.
I tried un- and reinstalling the template. Same goes for the t3 systemplugin, even using a fresh joomla installation does not change that behaviour.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Please give me some kind of feedback whether this is actually a global issue or just on my side :)

Hi again,

I just tried to duplicate your issue and here the steps I have made:

1. Go to Megamenu setting panel, select a menu item (Documentation menu item), enable the submenu and assign a module for the sub-menu > Save Megamenu setting, please check screenshot below:
http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/718/3593104352.png
2. Go to Menu > Main menu then edit the Documentation menu > Save
3. Check megamenu setting panel again and the front-page > Result: still works properly.

I am not sure the steps are correct or not, if not please help to provide step by step to replicate the issue.

Regards.

Gardner.

Ok, i will try to explain in more detail:

1. create a menu item with some child menu items (does not matter if linking to single article or other). See attachment one
2. add modules. see attachment 2
3. remove regular child menu items. see attachment 3

Save and check on live site. Submenu is working is intended, showing only your modules and hiding all regular submenu items.

4. open a random menu item in menu manager. just save it (does not matter if making any changes to it)
5. megamenu will magically look like in attachment 2 again. frontend shows regular submenu items again, plus your modules.

that really is a pain :(
