Resolved Testing Joomla t3v3 on local computer, but would like to know where and how these file are stored on the local computer.

Hi all,

How does the quick installation install on the local computer. Where are these files placed on your local computer. Can you uninstall these files if you had to. Do the installation set up a server for joomla on the local computer.

Using joomla 3.1.1, firefox, windows 7 professional operating system.

You will need to get a webserver up and running (apache or iis) and install php and mysql for any joomla site to work. you can find extensive documentation on the joomla website on this.

the files for T3 get installed whereever you want them to be. I'm using MAMP so my site files are all located in htdocs folder. if you need to uninstall the t3 site you're messing with, just delete the mysql database and remove the site folders/files and you're all set.

When you install T3 in your Joomla system, the files are stored in plugins/system/t3 in the Joomla root directory.
