Please open breadcrumbs module in Module Manager and turn of 'Show "You are here"' options.
This is a new fix of J3.2.2 and we also follow the fix.

I have the opposite problem. I had "you are here" turned off and now I suddenly have a map marker icon in my breadcrumbs which I can't get rid off.
I don't want anything! No "you are here" text and no map marker icon. That icon is very irritating! How do I get rid of this?

I am running Joomla v2.5, started with v2.5.17 and updated to v2.5.18 and t3 V3 v2.1.0
Up until and including v2.1.0 of the plug-in when in the module manager you selected "show you are here" a map marker icon appeared at the beginning of the breadcrumbs

After upgrading to plug-in v2.1.1 when you select "show you are here" there is no map marker icon but instead the text "you are here" appears at the beginning of the breadcrumbs

I would like the Icon to appear or even better the ability to control which shows, icon or text
I hope this explains the change in behaviour between plug.in versions 2.1.0 and 2.1.1

To check this I installed to a new url the t3 quickstart joomla v 2.5.17 + t3 plgv2.1.0 + t3 blank v2.1.0, I then upgraded each of them one at a time and checking which triggered the change and it was upgrading the plug-in that caused the change in behaviour

The question is was this deliberate by t3 and is the new default or was it an oversight in missing something out
Is the plug-in going to be changed back to how it was before

I have found the cause file ..../plugins/system/t3/base/html/mod_breadcrumbs/default.php
There has been a change in the code here
I don't know enough to sort it out
I also don't know if this was done on purpose by t3

I found a thread, whilst searching solutions to this, relating to the breadcrumbs and though it would be good to reference it, damn it is not showing up in the searches now

It was discussing using an icon instead of the text "home" in the breadcrumbs (as in the apple site) and one of the posters offered to code the option of choosing between the text home and an icon

I think it would be great if we could have the ability in the module manager to choose between an icon, text and nothing for both the title "you are here" and the first link "home"

you can also try to go to main menu in joomla and then go to link type and link image fill your image there

As I said, this is a new fix from J3.2.2.
And it is correct to follow the fix.

If you do not want the marker of You are here text you can overwrite the module

Please take reference from this link

Just copy \plugin\system\t3\base-bs3\html\mod_breadcrumbs\default.php
to
templates\[your template]\html\mod_breadcrumbs\default.php

and remove those lines code from 19 - 23.

You are not understanding my posts! you need to slow down and read them again and understand them

I DO WANT THE MAP MARKER SHOWING

Using Joomla 2.5.* and the t3-blank template it does not show since the plug-in got updated to 2.1.1

I have since spent even more time investigating the "BUG" or not updated coded

The map marker is controlled by the css and the class was changed in the plug-in upgrade 2.1.0 to 2.1.1 from "i class="icon-map-marker"" to "i class="fa fa-map-marker""

BUT, the new class has not been declared in the less files for the t3-blank template

It is declared in the t3-bs3-blank template

So you are correct it does work using J3.2.2 and the t3-bs3-blank template

BUT IT DOES NOT WORK USING J2.5.18 AND THE T3-BLANK TEMPLATE

If the class update is correct and is to stay the less files need to be changed to declare the new class

Or the class in the t3-blank needs to be changed back to the original

From what I tell you here you should know which less files this affects and need updating

You can overwrite the module and change it to icon-map-marker for now.
