Resolved How do I open contact page in modal window?

I'm trying to get the contact form to open
1. using a button
2. in a modal window.

I've sorted out the first part, but I can't seem to get it to open in a modal window. Any suggestions, guys?

Ok... as much as I wanted to figure out how to do it with a bit of help, I've resorted to using No Number's Modal plugin, which does exactly what I want, and a good job, too.

However, I still want to learn how to hand code such a facility... so the research continues.
